Home tour: Sunroom

Hello there. How's your Thursday going? mine is going alright I wish that there was some sunshine to brighten this day. I keep looking at the seven day forecast hoping for some sun to show up but sadly no such luck yet. I wish I could jump on a jet plane and go somewhere warm, I miss Hawaii I think I would pick there if I could go anywhere. The amazing food and being able to sit on the beach and drink right out of a coconut or pineapple and bask in the sun with your feet in the sand. Oh boy doesn't that sound amazing. Instead its raining outside today. It's funny the room I am sharing today is my sunroom haha. This little magical room wasn't original to the house it was built on after one of the owners. The house was built in 1924 and a couple bought it and remodeled it in the 80's which I do not understand why would you buy a period home and remodel it to that time. BUT thankfully my landlord has restored it to its original state. The kitchen is still stuck in the 80's at first I really disliked the kitchen. But it has grew on me. Wait today's tour is not the kitchen I am getting ahead of myself here. The kitchen is tomorrow, so back to the sun run I have turned it into a little reading nook it's quite nice in the spring and summer time with the windows open. It's also a little storage area for all my duvets and big blankets I have bought. Since this house doesn't have any linen closet storage besides this small- ish built in, Oh how I would love for actual closets. Now the sunroom is right off of the kitchen and then leads down to the boring old basement that houses the washer and dryer all my moving boxes and my pretty pink christmas tree. This space defiantly makes the place feel bigger and opens it up I really love this little space. And I love and hate that there is a lilac tree that blooms right in front of those windows I love them because they smell amazing and are so beautiful. I hate them because they make my nose go crazy when they bloom. Last spring and summer was crazy for my allergies one morning I woke up looking like I had some sort of lip pluming surgery it was not a pretty site. But I will be more prepared this year. well alright lets get to the pictures.

  3. This is definitely the place to lose yourself with a good book. The place is bright and very cozy. The atmosphere is relaxing, yet lively at the same time. Thanks to that wide window that allows light to enter the space. It is a very soothing and relaxing place.
