This is my year.

2013 so far you have been my year. It started off a little rough with having to move out of my little house which I still miss it quite a bit. But I can say I am feeling a lot less stress and that has been so amazing. I've also been focusing more on myself taking time for me to get healthy, making exercise a part of my regular routine. Although this head cold and fever that came out of nowhere isn't helping but when it does go away I will jump back on the workout wagon and give it 200% like I do everyday. Another one of my goals for this year was to rid my life of negative people in my life and that just seem to be toxic friendships,I don't need that in my life anymore. I will work on the friendships I have and continue on making them stronger and making new friends and bonds. Like I said this is going to be my life changing year I can feel it.
2013
To continuing a great year.

My go to healthy filling meal these days is steel cut oats with whatever fruit I have on hand. I want to add a feature on this blog with some healthy recipes from Jillian Michaels master your metabolism cook book.
foodie
Today's is my go to for a fast breakfast, lunch or dinner I just love it so much. I added 1 fuji apple and some granola with sliced pecans. It was perfect and fills me up for a long time. I like adding different fruit combinations blueberry, and blackberry are another of my favorites.

I feel good about eating this no guilt or immediately thinking "UGH I shouldn't of had that!" I hate that feeling after caving in and eating that cheeseburger or that extra girl scout cookie (did you know it's girl scout cookie season already?). Tonight will be a challenge we're going out to eat for my moms birthday it's always hard eating out because I am not the one preparing the food and not knowing exactly what is going into my food. I think salads are usually the safe options when going out it can get dangerous when you go into sandwiches and other things in my opinion. And I want to stay on point food wise since I missed my hot yoga class this morning I was one minute late and they had already locked the front doors to start class. They are VERY strict on that and their's and my schedule don't go well the morning class was the only class I could make so I am pretty bummed about it but I will just add a cardio tape in instead since its pouring outside. I won't let missing a class mess up the rest of my working out or just give up that's the old me and I won't go back. So I think it's about time for a butt kicking from Jillian today I am starting phase two I am kind of scared what the workout will be like today wish me luck!

90 day body revolution.

currently

Week 5 Day 29.
Pounds lost: 8
Inches lost: 33

I am now into phase two of Jillian Michael's 90 day body revolution. The toughest part was the first three weeks. Mainly because with me I usually try new fitness routines or "diets" for a few weeks and either I am not seeing a big enough result so I give up. Or just forget to work out for a day or two then more days pass until I am back at not working out at all. But they say it takes 21 days to form a habit and they are right. Now a days I actually hate not being active but I do give myself one day of rest just because after all the working out during the week I know my body needs that day of rest, I also thought I would share my workout routine on here as well.

Monday| Workout (5) 30 mins & Hot yoga 90 mins

Tuesday|Workout (6) 30 mins & Running 1 HR

Wednesday|Cardio (2) 30 mins & Hot yoga 90 mins

Thursday|Workout (5) 30 mins & Running 1 HR

Friday| Workout (6) 30 mins

Saturday| Hot yoga 90 mins

Sunday| Rest

I saw this photo on delightfully tacky 's blog the other day and couldn't agree more with it

I know it may sound silly to some but I really hated taking exercise classes alone I don't know why I just felt so uncomfortable and going with someone just made it easier and would make me go more because someone is depending on you to go. But I can't depend on people all the time sometimes people can't come or do things and I just needed to get over it and go alone. And I did and actually enjoy it more I still like going with friends but I think because I got out of my comfort zone and did it that's what makes it more satisfying each time. I am enjoying this new journey I am on seeing how fast my body is changing every time I measure and weigh myself I am just blown away. I know that I have to stick to this because I just cannot and will not go back to how my life was I am much happier now in my skin and it's just beginning.

Watching: Rehab addict! I recently came across this show and am OBSESSED. The show is about Nichole curtis who buys old historic homes and fixes them up to their former glory it's amazing what she does to these houses to make them look like they did back in the day.

Listening to: Philip Phillips. His debut album The world from the side of the moon is so so good it's been on repeat in my car for a few months now.

Making me happy: Fitting better into my clothes again! and feeling more confident with myself. :D

Thinking about: Spring and wishing for warm days spent at the beach. Oh I cannot wait for spring and all the fresh flowers and sunshine!

Excited about: Hot yoga! Me and my friend Blair have started up hot yoga again its been a while like maybe two years. But it is SO expensive it's around $30 for a week of classes, ten classes for around $120 YIKES! But a lot of studios offer introductory rates two weeks unlimited for $25 which if you think about it one class is $15 it's worth it. We went to our first class last night in a while I could feel it has been a while. the poses aren't super complicated or hard I think for me it's the heat that makes them difficult. You're sweating so much since it is 105 degrees in the room your dripping sweat from everywhere the mat is slippery (need to bring a towel next time...opps). Towards the end I was like please please can this just be over I want to throw up. And just when you think that you lay down and relax and it is over. I felt amazing after words even though I looked like I just stepped out of the shower it was great and were going back again tonight. Got to get the most out of those two weeks right :), and since I know more what to expect and id it once and lived I know I can do it again. Have any of you tried hot yoga and what were your thoughts experiences?

90 Day body revolution update.

Hello there, I am on day 10 out of Jillian Michaels 90 day body revolution and it is going great at first it was harder then the last time I had started. Jillian knows how to kick your ass everyday, the first few days were rough I was sore and nauseous (clearly out of shape). But after about day five I was feeling stronger and excited for the work outs each day knowing that I am one day closer to accomplishing this. The eating has been alright my weakness seems to be the sweets, and pop. When I am told I can't have something I seem to want it more. But she does have these yummy chocolate chip oatmeal muffins I can't wait to try to help with my sweet cravings. I have cut out pop all together so i've gone without that also for 10 days and replacing my soda intake with water water and oh water. My way of getting my 8-12 glasses in is I fill up my giant 24 oz mason jar and know that I need to drink 2 and a half of those a day. Also using my juicer a lot more and have made some yummiest juices. I have a juice recipe post coming up next week. I think this is the beginning of something great yeah yeah I know I say that every time I start something like this but I think after nothing in my closet fitting something in me finally snapped and knew something had to change.
90daybody
And after day 10 I am already down 4lbs and have lost a total of 15 inches everywhere. I can already see a lot of improvement in my clothes fitting differently. It's amazing and I am so excited to see how else I will change during the rest of this.

Have a fantastic weekend. XO
