The day Autumn got her ears pierced.

Yep yesterday I felt like Autumn become a big girl. I swear every time I see her she seems bigger to me, she's talking up a storm. When I went over to my sisters yesterday to check out her ears the first thing I hear when I walk in the door is her sweet little voice say " Auntie I got muh ears pierced and it only hurt wittle bit". While showing me with her fingers what a wittle bit was. It was the cutest thing every time she says auntie I missed you it just melts my heart. And in January she's going to be three years old how did that happen? where did the time go? I feel like it was just yesterday I was packing my sisters bags for the hospital because autumn decided to come early. And my mom was freaking out because she was trying to rush home from a business trip to get there before miss autumn was born. Boy does time fly by.





Yesterday me and my sister were talking about how we should take one day a week to take a day trip somewhere. So I am excited about that. The first trip we are going to take is a day beach trip maybe this week, were still working on it to see if my Grandma and grandpa can be free for the day if we came down. I've been missing the oregon coast real bad lately. Hopefully we can have our family beach trip soon before my brother starts his first year of collage in September. And I want to document more of the vacations with my real camera a little less instragram photos that's my goal. What about you guys do you have any fun summer vacation plans?

A little hello.

Well hello there lovelies, How have you all been lately? Im doing pretty well myself. I've just been enjoying this lovely summer weather with miss autumn lately. And getting ready for a mini road trip with my momma this weekend to walla walla washington to visit her momma. I haven't seen her in years and either has my mom so I am pretty excited. I am also looking into any antique or thrift places on our way up so we can hit those and see if we find any treasures. Also lately I've been loving the photo app on the iphone called cross process. It takes some pretty neeto pictures if you ask me. I took a few on my way home yesterday.


Miss autumn loves her smoothies. Every time we make a Starbucks run she makes sure she asks for a "mooey" Her way of saying smoothie, cute right?

I was going through old pictures the other day and came across this film from my dad's first Christmas in 1962. I really want to get this put on to a dvd and see my daddy as a baby. I am not sure where to get this put on to a dvd, but I am nervous since this is the only one and I am so paranoid they will ruin it or something and then I wont have it anymore. Has anyone ever got older film put on to a dvd before and where did you go?




I always wonder what this area used to look like it must of been happening at one point in time. Now its just abandon car dealerships and a wendy's that is no longer in business. The only places that are in business on this strip are two strip clubs. and a gas station.



But there is one part of this drive I do like this little road that's just so pretty with all the trees and on one side of the road you can see this little park I've only been there once but I think I need to re visit it one day with miss autumn.

So a few days ago we had a family dinner at my grandpa's house he lives in the cutest historic area of oregon city. We had a yummy dinner in his backyard then headed over to the park across the street to play I made this little video for fun. And added some music I haven't used imovie so I plan to get better at this.

I love his house, I believe he said it was built in 1918. I keep meaning to walk around the neighborhood and take pictures of all the historic houses. Maybe I'll do that soon the houses are just adorable. My gorgeous blue victorian is in that neighborhood which I talked about here

Thrifty Thursday.

Today was one of those really good thrifting days. It was a perfect sunny day not to hot with a breeze, and a yummy iced coffee in hand. I was ready to go out and find some treasures. So here are some snap shots from my day along with my pretty finds.














I Just love my hometown. Got this cute little pop up card at tender loving empire the other day.









Every time I go into the sellwood neighborhood which is where my favorite antique mall is I just want to move there.I almost did move there but the house I wanted the lady ended up deciding to not rent it out. But I am only 1 mile from sellwood so it's just a hop skip and a jump to get over there.


My street is kind of pretty :)

Miss autumn likes to leave toys and stuffed animals all over my house.


I knew Portland had a lot of food carts but I didn't know how many and so many that we need a book on it.


Today I also went to the book store to get some books that I've heard good things about and I wanted to get back into reading again. I used to read a book every few weeks sometimes once a week.


Also last Friday I was in Seattle for the pickwick show I had never seen them live before but have heard really good things. So I was really excited to dance my butt off during their show. Their music just makes you want to dance I have no moves whatsoever but at their shows you don't care if your dancing like a idiot because everyone is dancing. And you just cant help it. I thought I would share some videos from the night. I think I spotted my hand once in this video I was right in the front right by Galen (Lead singer of pickwick)

Are you dancing yet? I know I am just listening to them while writing this. There was also a tom petty cover band the american girls who opened who were really good. Danced and sang along to some of my favorites american girl, brake down and don't come around here no more. Weekend getaway: Seattle

Right now I am relaxing eating my yummy chocolate cupcake with maple buttercream frosting with a side of stella beer. It's really hitting the spot. Anywhoo, This past weekend I got to get away to Seattle to have some down time which I needed I feel like I am always go go go. So it was perfect timing. It was all about thrifting, pretty weather, and a really good show. I noticed while on my trip I need to take out my camera more here I have this great camera and I keep using instagram cause I love it so much but I feel like that's all I have been using lately. Here are the photos I snapped while I was there.


On my drive up. It was a good drive very little traffic. And listened to lots of good music with tons of sunshine.






I got to wear my cute dress from Tami of Dear whimsy. We stopped at Matador for some good tacos and the best margaritas.



Lori's roommate made the yummiest breakfast bowls and I had my first bialetti coffee experience it was super yummy. I think I need to buy one like now.



Also their house is all kinds of adorable.




After a day of thrifting a cold beer and burgers was just what we needed.


Sunday night's Seattle has these bonfire's on the beach with local bands playing. We made some sweet tea vodka lemonade to take with us. I wanted to do that every night it was so relaxing. I sadly don't remember the two bands that played but I do know that they were really good.


My purchase from Bryan John Appleby's CD release show. Which was amazing i've had it on repeat since the show. If you can get a chance to see him don't think about it just go.

And tomorrow I will be going back up to Seattle for a show.Then Saturday myself and Lori will be coming back down to Portlandia for the rest of the weekend to do some thrifting,lush shopping ( I finally have ran out of my stash. I never thought id see the day), and of course there will be Waffle window. But back to the show I will be seeing, they are from Seattle and go by the name pickwick and just let me show you a few videos they will blow your mind.

A weekend getaway.

I've been feeling like I need a little get away from home just to relax and have girly time with my friend Lori in Seattle for the weekend.



It will be filled with some good things like coffee,cupcakes,thrifting,brunch, bryan john appleby's cd release show for fire on the vine, and even a bon fire on the beach.

A day of cleaning.

Yesterday was spent cleaning. Sometimes I can be lazy and wait until all my clothes have found their way out of the closet from days where I have no idea what to wear. And I've eaten on every last dish I own and go to make something and realize I really need to do dishes. ( I really wish I had a dish washer Id love doing dishes then). But after hours upon hours of cleaning every room and even mowed the front yard ( didn't do the best job might I add). I despise those push mowers and pesky weeds they just won't go away. I've also fallen back in love with the hipstamatic app on the iphone. I think my favorite film and lens would defiantly the bettie lens and Ina's 1935 film. I took a few snap shots around my home with it.

Last Friday night: Katy Perry

Last Friday night myself, Tami. , And charlotte attended Katy Perry's California Dreams tour. I am still boggled at how great the show was, so I'll start from the beginning. Tami came over to my house so we could put our faces and wig on


before heading over to Charlotte's house since she lived by the venue. We blasted the teenage album the whole drive over with our windows down. Boy the looks you get when stopping at a red light with "Let me see your peacock" blaring out the windows with a couple of girls in wigs and gallons of make up on. After we arrived at the house we applied more glitter and glitter nail polish ( You can never have enough glitter) I even made some DIY purple glitter shoes. I am so glad they dried in time I was really nervous they wouldn't they really completed the outfit.





But before we headed out to the show we needed to take photos of our outfits of course.









Boy oh boy did we get looks on the max nobody knew there was a show going on so when we informed them it was for Katy Perry they said "ohhh". We got to the venue way early to get some drinks and we heard they were giving away stuff we were hoping of getting backstage, failed but got noticed by katy so that was amazing. There will be next tour though we are pretty determined. While we were wondering around outside and around the venue. It seemed that Portland didn't dress up at all, we saw a hand full of some people that went all out but all in all Portland didn't put in effort into looking crazy amazing. I mean how often do you get a chance to wear crazy colored wigs and fun outfits (well besides on halloween). So with that said we kept getting our pictures taken by radio stations and random strangers came up to us asking to get their pictures taken with us. And Im not going to lie it was kind of exciting.







Then it was time to head in for the show. We immediately starting freaking out and dancing. Alright beware here come A LOT of photos. Also sorry for the blurryness of some of the photos. I was using my sisters camera for the first time and dancing/ jumping = blurry photos.

I kissed a girl. Also a guy at the show dressed as Russell and she brought him on stage and he proceeded to take his shirt off for katy.

Last friday night
Kitty purry and kathy beth terry made an appearance ( the look a like looked a lot like her to)

Now before these songs she was inviting people up on stage so she looked right and me and Tami and said " Would you two girls like to come up on stage and dance with us" We both started screaming and bolted for the stage... Until mr douche bag security guard was like " Uh no" and shaking his head. The other guard seemed ok with us going on stage we kept telling the douche that she just asked us on stage but he seemed to not believe us. We were SO furious we could of been dancing and getting our picture on stage with KATY PERRY. So the other guard told us to go into the pit, so we did we danced,jumped and fist pumped the rest of the show right by the stage. It was still amazing.
















We were foamed on by katy then tons and tons of confetti rained on us. It was fantastic!

Post concert waiting for the max to pick us up. Yet again nobody who dressed up were ridding the max with us so covered in sweat,glitter, foam and confetti we boarded the max back to Charlotte's house to relax. At this point my feet were so numb and covered in blisters. I made the mistake to wear new flats to a show. But it was worth it.



We ended the night relaxing on the porch reminiscing about the night. And talked about road tripping a little on the next tour.

What fell out of my dress after the show.

I also came to really love my purple hair, and made me miss having short hair but I must resist because its a pain in the butt to grow it out. Which I am still in the process of growing it out. I also wish I took videos at the show but I did manage to find one online of the opening and teenage dream.




I've always been a huge fan of miss katy perry but after this show I feel like an even bigger fan she puts on such an amazing show. If she's coming to a town near you I highly suggest going to see her you'll have a blast.
