Thrifty Thursday.

Hello ladies I hope your all having a great day. I am doing pretty great myself it's a rainy day here in Portland.


I miss that sunny weather we had the other day hopefully it will be back soon. Lets talk about thrifting, yesterday had a wonderful coffee date with Miss Kara She's also the nicest person you'll ever meet, we had a little design meeting on doing a make over on this little blog. I think it went swimingly and I am pretty excited y'all. After that I craving me some veggie grill. They opened up here in Portland a few weeks ago and I've already gone twice their food is SO good I don't think there is anything on the menu I wouldn't like. And they are putting another one downtown soon which will be really nice since that will be a lot closet to my place. Of course I took pictures of what I ate :) The first time I went I had the hail kale salad which they marinate over night in this ginger sauce SO SO good. And since it was the first time ever going in the owner offered us some carrot cake on the house. Normally I am not a fan of carrot cake but this was uh mazing so moist and delicious. And I can't feel bad about any of the stuff I eat since it is all vegan plant based foods so its a lot better for me. The second time I went in yesterday I had the chipotle bbq "steak" with sweet potato fries. Which until yesterday I had never had a sweet potato they just looked so odd to me ( I know sounds silly and a bit like a five year old that your trying to get to eat their vegetables.) But I thought why not and they were heaven I don't know what I was waiting for I am defiantly going to have to try an actual baked sweet potato now. And they are better for you then a regular old potato.


After stuffing our self of some good yummy food we headed over to a huge good will. I was trying to continue my shabby chic streak. Also I was on the look for the missoni flats, which I did find BUT they were either 5 1/2 or 11 I think the smallest I could shove my feet into would be a 6 1/2 I wont give up though. So here are some funny things I found while thrifting and my finds.


These are pretty amazing just based on the title and the cover of barry's album. I think I would want it just to frame haha :).


I am in love with this cute little plate which is called tickled pink it reminds me of starburst and temporama.




This little floral try is just so adorbs.




Last but not least this pretty white shabby chic duvet cover. My friend spotted this first they also had a window panel but they only had one and all my windows would need at least two so I decided to pass on that one. I am defiantly growing quite the linen collection. I think I am going to have to clean out and re organize my linen cabinet again to fit everything in there. My house doesn't really have any closet storage space besides the entry closet then my bedroom closet and those are already full with clothes so. Well I must leave and pack up my laptop and hit the road for our family beach trip. Its going to be pretty cloudy and rainy but that's ok the beach is still gorgeous and relaxing even if its raining. I plan on lots of walks on the beach just gotta bring my umbrella and I'll be good to go. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Thrifty thursday.

It's my favorite time of the week again Thrifty thursday. I've had some great luck lately I think I have defiantly gotten out of my thrift rut. I have been trying to go more frequently since they are constantly putting new stuff out all day everyday. Alright lets get to the goodies from this week.




I've been finding a lot of shabby chic stuff last week and this week. I am so glad I didn't gave at buy them at target when if I just be patient and wait I can find them at good will.
( although sadly I did not purchase this white duvet after opening it up to look it over, which is always a must when buying at a thrift store. I noticed it was seriously stained this awful yellow all over)





I've also had quite the luck finding vintage sheets. I always had such a hard time finding any.



Finally a pair of missoni shoes that actually fit.


I was really bummed by this "Dooney and bourke" purse that was a fake but it also wasn't taken care of that well.





Then there are these beauties. I was on my way out and thought I would scan the shoes one last time and the blue tassels caught my eye. They were a half size bigger then my usual size, but luckily they fit perfectly.

I am bummed there was no pyrex found this week. I did find one but was all scratched and not taken care of at all :( and they wanted 7.99 for it. If it was in perfect looked new condition maybe but I think they are seeing more people take interest in pyrex so they are upping their prices. Oh how I miss the days of super cheap and shelves full off old beautiful pyrex over flowing at the thrifts, those were great days.

Thrifty thursday.

I haven't been thrifting in what feels like forever to me. I used to go a few times a week. But it seems like everyone on my instagram feed lately has been thrifting up storms. So today after battling with a head cold/stomach bug, my fever had gone down and I needed to get out of the house. It was so sunny outside and even got up to 60, I even had my sun roof open the fresh air felt amazing.

And so I set off on a few of my favorite thrift stores the first two didn't have much but the third one I said to myself " I will find some awesome finds!". And that I did.





The prettiest vintage yellow floral sheets.



And I am over the moon about the other to finds. Well the pink shabby chic floral duvet cover that I check every time I am in Target just hoping and praying it's on major mark down. Because they want 89.99 and I know from experience if I wait long enough it will wind up at the good will. Because I have found two quilts and sheets still in its original packaging. So After snagging my cute little glass egg organizer which is the cutest little thing. I was scanning the linens just to see if today would be my lucky day. I spotted that floral from aisle away and walked fast but not to obvious what I was going for. Went to check the price and BAM it was my lucky thifting day Originally at 89.99 at target I got it for a glorious 19.99. I grabbed that duvet up so fast and wondered around on the hunt for some pyrex to really make this day. But sadly no luck, there seems to be a pyrex shortage in Portland. Or if I find some they are very beaten up and asking way to much. It's a sad sad thing when thrift stores (good will) marks stuff up way to much. You are not a antique mall and these are not in mint condition. This is a place for low incomes, they come here to shop. It needs to stop asap. I am not giving up on adding to my ever growing pyrex collection. It's a bit of a problem I have but I am ok with it. They are just so darn pretty.

It's that time of the week again my favorite time of the week actually. I had a pretty good thirifting day the other day, I didn't find a ton of stuff but the things I did find I am over the moon happy about. The theme I guess was blue :)

Tomorrow I will be relaxing and hiking along the Oregon coast with my lovely friend Tami Then possibly some fun on the beach after words. I am oh so excited. I have been missing the beach pretty heard core lately. It's the one place I can go and recharge when I am feeling down, or stressed or worn out. I wish I could stay for a few days but sadly that is not in the cards right now. But I will be going for a few days with some girlfriends for my birthday in November so until then I will gladly take a day at the beach.

This week I did not get to do any thrifting as I've been a bit under the weather I slept most of today and some of yesterday. When I thought that going the gym would make my cold better was very very wrong. So here I am attempting to rest but I just hate being stuck in bed sometimes. But that's all my body can do I did manage going to the store for some medicine and tea. Boy that felt like the longest trip when in reality its not far from my house. So this weeks thrifty thursday is things about thirfting I love.

I've seen this sign a lot on different sites I wonder where this thrift shop is it looks so cute.


Id love to find a cute old pink telephone for display somewhere in my home.


These chairs are just gorgeous. I have some very similar to these and have been wanting to reupholster them just haven't found that "Perfect" fabric yet.


I love this candelabra.


id just die if I found a old typewriter in teal.


I really want this adorable teal kitchen aide blender.

Thats this weeks thrifty thursday I am off to pack for our family reunion this weekend to Crystal Mountain. And get to bed early so I can hopefully feel 100% tomorrow for the 4 hour drive up there. I need to create a playlist for my ipod as well if anyone has some good music suggestions for long car trips Id love to hear some new tunes.

Thrifty Thursday.

It's that special time of the week again. I had some great thrifting this week. Im so excited to share them. Usually I snag one maybe two things but not this week. So lets cut the chit chat and look at the goods I know that's what your all waiting for.


Im a sucker for giant coffee cups. And I am always on the hunt for pretty floral tea plates I only have two but Id love to have a collection of them.


I love love these blue containers I have quite the few already.


-I always love to find a new pretty casserole dish I love the design on this one.
-My collection for these bowels is growing quite fast I've found most of mine at good will, and I think I have like eight or nine of them now. I love that they are all pastel colors.





These 1970s fondue pots were defiantly my favorite finds of the day each $2.00 total score! I know that they didn't come with the sticks or burner but that's ok I still love them just as much.

It felt good to get back into my thrifting groove I had gone a while without finding any good home stuff. It seemed like I was always having such bad luck. But what goodies have you scored thrifting lately?

Ello ladies I know some of you like me LOVE to thrift. It's my favorite thing to do, if I am in a bad mood and need some cheering up I can go to my favorite thrift stores. Or just for the fun of the hunt and to just get lost for hours looking for that hidden treasure. Today's post I wanted to share some of my favorite thrift finds. My favorite seem to be vintage house wears that seems to be where I go as soon as I go inside any thrift store.

I remember the day I bought these I was early to going to meet a friend so I stopped by a goodwill that was on the way. I just had a good feeling id find something that day. And boy oh boy did I score BIG that day. It was a funny site I am sure I hadn't planned on thrifting so here I am in this pretty black satin dress,black tights and these cute black ankle boots I just bought walking through good will down a aisle I see pink so of course my eye is already drawn to it. Then I saw these beauties and actually squealed out loud and said MINE!. Nobody was in the aisle yet I still felt the urge to say that. I didn't get a cart ( Not sure why) I had them pilled up in one of those tiny hand baskets. Not exactly sure how they all fit in it now that I look back haha.




I got this in the same trip ( I am laughing back just at the image of how ridiculous I looked and why I didn't get a cart)
I saw a lady looking at the mirrors I wanted to skim through them since I had been looking for some mirrors for my future place that I hadn't got yet. Then I saw this light teal sticking out. I was so surprised at the condition and that it was still there and only $5 SCORE right? So now at this point my hands are just bursting and hoping and praying I don't drop all of this. Still not even dawning on me "Hey Tabatha maybe you should get a cart it would be a smart idea" After picking out those items I wobbled to the check out with my tiny hand basket with my tins over flowing (almost falling out) I think I had a couple glasses stuffed in this hand basket as well to. Then carrying this huge mirror and walking in heels. I looked pretty ridiculous I am sure of it. I felt a tad over dressed for that shopping trip haha.


I am in love with my vintage pyrex bowls. The green one I got at some random thrift store I had never been to before and haven't been back to since then just cause it was just really dirty and the employees were beyond rude. But I had to have this bowl. I remember seeing it grabbing it then just leaving haha it wasn't my favorite thrifting experience. The pink one I picked up at a farmers market in the Fremont neighborhood of seattle. This guy had a huge booth of pyrex I felt like I died and went to heaven when I saw it. His stuff was a little over priced I remember so I only got this pink one cause I felt ok with the price but there was SO much more I wanted.


More pyrex bowls ( You can never have enough pyrex) I got these on one shopping trip. I saw a lady eyeing them but I snatched them up quick before she could get her hands on them.
