The day I got a purple wig.

Next Friday July 22nd myself and my friend Tami. will be attending a Katy perry concert. I am SO over the moon excited you have no idea. So in preparation for the show we hit up downtown to go outfit shopping I got myself a wig and whole outfit. I was originally going to go with the bubble gum pink wig but I liked the purple better.

after we did some wig shopping we headed over to Betsey johnson because I had yet to go inside the Portland store Id only been in one in Florida and Hawaii. So I thought we could look I didn't think I would actually walk out with a dress. Betsey is that one designer I just go gaga over I love every thing she creates I hope she continues to design for a long time. I feel like there should be angels singing when you walk in. The dresses were on insane mark down I couldn't say no and how do you say no to a good Betsey Johnson deal? Originally it was $480 I paid only $130. I couldn't believe it I wanted to ask the girl multiple times to make sure I was reading it right. There were other dresses I adored to but they were not my size. So without further ado here is my betsey outfit for Katy's show.

Today was defiantly a great day. I hope you all had a great one as well and maybe you had some sunshine in your neck of the woods.

Once upon a time.

Portand had sun and summer, it feels like we skipped right over summer. What happened to all the sun and blue skies? It's been feeling like fall a lot here. Which I LOVE because its my favorite season.

It feels weird just last week I was lounging by the lake in the sun relaxing. It was so gorgeous up there the drive up there was such a beautiful scene. When I go on drives like that it makes me fall in love with my state even more. And of course I took some photos to share.

I even took a video of the meadow it was just so pretty. I wish you couldn't hear me walking a little bit in it so just ignore that. :)

We spent the whole day by the lake and just enjoying some rays. I want more trips like that, but if the weather stays the way it is that won't happen. I hope the sun comes back. It is only July although usually we are in the high 90's this time of year. Id also like to go camping at least once this summer I miss camping I used to go camping a lot when I was little.

This is myself, dad and sister at Wallowa lake

in Joseph, OR. My dad wanted to finish the milk before the 6 hour drive home.

My daddy feeding a deer. That's what I love about it up there, there are deer everywhere just wondering around out and about like its totally normal. It's amazing to see them they are gorgeous up close we would feed them all the time. I have a picture somewhere of my dad feeding one a carrot with his mouth. Now going back on these memories I miss it even more there was so much to do. Horse back riding, paddle boats, putt putt golf, goat carts, riding the tram up to the mountain to see amazing breathtaking views.

My cousin just posing with a deer like it's no big deal.

Anywhoo I hope you all have a lovely day. I am off to get my fitness on at the gym then outfit shopping with miss Tami. for our Katy perry outfits Im thinking there may be a pink wig involved. Hoping I don't look to ridiculous.

Feeling pretty good.

Howdy yall. I hope everyone is having a swell Saturday. Im doing pretty good myself I've been up and going since about 7:00 this morning, I had my personal training session this morning. Which went really well we talked about my goal weight and is it realistic to reach by either my birthday (november 28th) or christmas. I revised my weekly work out routine to going to the gym 5 days a week then on weekends taking it outside on Saturdays for hiking or doing something active outside. She also mentioned something called the fit bit. spontaneoussaturday
Basically you can clip it anywhere on your clothes and it calculates how many steps you take and calories burned that day. It also calculates your sleep patterns and if your getting the right amount of sleep. And the really cool part, it can sync your data from that day from the fit bit to your laptop from only 15 feet away. Then you can see how much food you took in and exercise and see where you need to improve to keep loosing weight. Im pretty excited about it and I'm feeling better about my fitness goals and actually reaching my goal.

I also got these pretty sweet new shoes. Every few years I get new ones and my old nike's have done their time. Well I am off to get miss autumn we're having a sleep over at my house tonight. Which I wasn't perpared for so I no idea what to do for dinner for us two tonight. A trip to the store may be in order although I am not hungry at all so it's hard for me to find things to eat. Hopefully I can find something healthy and creative.

I love a little spontaneity.

So last weekend Portland got some pretty amazing weather. And it seemed that everyone was taking advantage of it. I had a ton to do around the house. Cleaning and yard work but that just didn't sound that fun to be doing on a pretty sunny day. So I did a little yard work ( Only the front yard the part people can see :) ) After that I decided I would take a spontaneous day trip to Seattle to visit my friend Lori. I had left later then I wanted, so I got there just in time for dinner and drinks. It may have been a short trip but it was the perfect long sunny drive with good music and some girl time.

My raspberry bush is a bloomin. Im thinking a pie is in order.

We went to Kings hardware
for dinner in Ballard and holy yum. Their burgers and fries were super yummy. And since I forgot to eat that day I was extra hungry. After we stuffed ourselves with food we headed over to my favorite favorite cupcake place. Cupcake Royale

I love Seattle it was good to see it even if it was for a short time. I will be going back in a few weeks for the weekend to see Jared mees and the grown children as well as Bryan john appleby's cd release show. Im pretty excited. Also that weekend I got to spend it antiquing and thrifing with my mom and aunt who was in town from Nebraska for a few weeks.

I think I may have to go back and get this old file cabinet I think because it's the old pink chipping paint that makes me want it so bad.

I love finding new vintage shops but sadly they were closed on Sundays so I will have to go another time. There was also this cute bakery that looked like it would defiantly be worth a try. These last few pictures were taken in downtown Oregon city and in fact all the buildings have been there for decades and still look like they did from back in the day. We went when it was kind of a ghost town. I was day dreaming what it would of been like back in the day with the old cars.

I have some fun post from my fun filled forth and a adventure up to Timothy lake. I hope you all had a fantastic forth and great week. The week is almost over already again? where does the time go seriously?

xoxo
