A wedding.

This past September I got the chance to shoot a child hood friend's wedding it was taken place at this tiny cute and charming church out in Carver,OR very private in the woods type of feel. So small in fact the only bathroom that was available for 80+ guest was a porta potty. It was a gorgeous simple ceremony. It was my first time ever doing any sort of event like this so I was a tad ok a lot nervous. But I couldn't show I was on someone else's big day. But after a few minutes of being there I felt a lot more comfortable and way over thought the whole situation. It's a lot of pressure being in charge of someones memories that they will look back on their whole life. But it was so much fun getting to be apart of a special day like one's wedding. I cried a few times but luckily I was hiding behind the camera. Those darn vows and that father daughter dance I thought I was going to loose it they always get me, But I kept it together. I was so happy to be there and maybe I'll do one again one day who knows but I definitely had a blast. wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding at least our outfits have gotten better through the years ;) wedding

Thrifty Thursday.

thriftythursday thriftythursday thriftythursday
It still boggles my mind the things people donate. But I am glad they did so I could snag these beauties. And it's always nice when the color of the week just so happens to be on one of the bowls your buying that was originally 5.00 which you would of paid anyway but now that it's only 2.50 makes your thrifting day, And they were all in perfect brand new condition to. Then you take your happy purchases to the register and walk out with the perfect thrifting high and want to go search for more hidden treasures. What thrifting treasures have you found lately ?

Today..

daisy daisy So yeah I like to take lots of pictures of my dog, That's no surprise but how can I not she's just to stinking cute. She's always been intrigued by the bathtub from wanting to jump in when I am trying to take a bath or shower to just getting in for no reason and drinking from the faucet. Today this little lady has been keeping me company while I am feeling a bit under the weather. I started feeling a fever coming on and all achey, so today has been about resting, drinking cups and cups of my favorite pumpkin spice chi tea and watching movies. Right now it's midnight in paris I just love this movie. daisy daisy daisy
Well I am craving chocolate real bad so I think I shall make my favorite brownies and hit the sack early and hope that I feel back to normal tomorrow.

Change.

Lately I had felt like I needed a change I wasn't sure what of just something. And last time I wanted change I chopped off six inches of my hair. And then I had my hair appointment last week and as I was sitting in the chair and she asked me "So the usual?" I said "Nope lets go dark dark brown." She looked really shocked mainly because my mom and sister have been asking me to go back brown its their favorite color on me.So we went black because of the red I didn't want to bleach out the red and do more damage to my hair,Black it was. And I am really loving it, it's been a nice change I had the red for three years and it is very high maintenance color to keep up and a lot of $$ because the red just fades so fast I was going in every 8 weeks. And this black is close to my natural hair color it won't be fading as fast or have the awful root problem I had with red. fromredtoblack fromredtoblack fromredtoblack I have also taken up running again. I usually start running and do it for about a week maybe two then take a day off that leads to more days off and eventually stopping all together. But being with wanting a change after I got back from Pensilvania (Which I will get to in another post) I had noticed lately I had been drinking to much soda mainly diet coke it's my weakness as well as the occasional eating out. Now while I was gone we ate really good no fast food but its just something I've been meaning to cut out all together. It always would make me so sick and id tell myself ok that was the last time I eat that then weeks later id eat it again. So while I was on vacation I had decided that now was the time I just quit cold turkey. I haven't had any fast food for two weeks now and no soda pop for eleven days now. There have been days when a nice cold bubbly diet coke has called my name but I don't buy it to put in my house for those times I could be tempted. And I know that the longer I go without the easier it will be. I've even cut out some coffee and not having it so much and replacing it with more tea and water. So here's to change.
Has there been anything you wanted to change and quit and what were your tricks to keeping on track?

My happy place.

Monticello antiques Is my happy place. On those not so great days I like to go and grab some coffee or tea and just browse all the pretty things. I first discovered this place after my mom kept telling me that I needed to go there. So I went and fell in love and just drooled after each space. I could and usually do end up spending hours in there. The garden section is my favorite that's where all the old furniture turned dinning room tables. This place actually helped me furnish quite a bit of my house. Monticello antiques Monticello antiques Monticello antiques Monticello antiques Monticello antiques
It kind of used to be a thing me and my mom would do we would go out for brunch on Sunday and then go browse our favorite antique malls. Such as monticello and Stars It's really close to my house so I also did some house shopping in there as well. It's quite dangerous being so close to these places. I highly highly suggest taking a gander into these places if you're ever in the neighborhood.
In other news I bought my ticket for the PNW Blogger holiday party put on by Chelsey of The paper mama . I'm pretty excited I didn't attend the last one but it looked like so much fun after looking at all the photos via instagram, So it will be fun. Monticello antiques XO

Race for the cure.

This past sunday me and my family spent the morning walking for the race for the cure. It was all in celebration for my Grandma who has been cancer free for five years now. We got the whole clan together to walk even miss autumn came out, she was such a little trooper and so was my sister who carried her for the three miles we walked. Autumn did walk for a few blocks but other then that she got piggy back rides. I had never done one of these walks before and I don't know why we just started but we all decided this will be a annual event for our family. It was such an amazing site to see all the pink walking around supporting this. It was such a beautiful day for the walk luckily it was early enough that we got the cool weather before the heat hit. While we were on the walk we happened to walk past the real world portland house one of the cast members was standing on the roof top watching the walk, which my cousin was so excited about she had to stop to get a picture. After we walked we were all pretty hungry so we decided to head over to kells irish pub for some good food. I had the most delicious turkey wrap and sweet potato fries. But if you ever go you must MUST have their nacho's they are amazingly delicious. I took some little snippets of the day. raceforthecure raceforthecure raceforthecure raceforthecure raceforthecure raceforthecure raceforthecure
