Today was full of fun even If I woke up yesterday at 8 am and have yet to go to sleep. I told myself I would go to bed early but I've had so much energy thanks to the cups of coffee I had today. I picked out some lovely fabrics for my quilt I still need a few fabrics and of course I forgot thread the one color I need is the color I do not have. Here are some little sneak peaks.



I'm so excited to use my "new" sewing machine I got at a local thrift store.

I just noticed that it was bought on my dad's third birthday in 1967 :) how cool is that.

I made a playlist of songs I've been listening to and have been inspiring me lately a mixture of the 80's and 90's

The other day I got the cutest lace flowy sleeved dress. Perfect holiday dress. This one will be for Thanksgiving I still need one for christmas. I just love dressing up for anything.




Also purchased this today at the lovely Tarjay it caught my eye and thank you for clearance it was a steal at $3.88 I would feel guilty if I didn't buy it. And it's perfect for my birthday party outfit

I cannot believe I will be 24 in one week and one day. I still feel like I am getting old I had that when I turned 21,22 and 23. But the one thing I have gained this year I did not have last year is knowing and feeling really great with my life right now. Last year I had no idea where it was going. I can honestly say I am not worried about anything and am happy and couldn't be more excited for the future and what it has in store. Before I pass out mid typing at my laptop I should probably hit the hay I am super tired.

my mind is a buzzing

With so many ideas crafts, Christmas presents etc. I tried to go to sleep I was so tired and ready for sleep but when I tried my brain would just not turn off I wrote down ideas hoping if they were safe and written down I could fall asleep. Nope that failed miserably. So here I am at the computer once again looking into quilting and diy tips etc. But it's a secret so shh.My little niece loves my shabby chic quilt and I cannot find any her size that are like mine. So I have taken it upon myself to make her a tiny one for a Christmas present. I have never quilted in my life, so this seems quite daunting but I am determined to give it a go. Also after this day which will be a long one but a good one I can feel it. I will deserve a very lovely Lush bath. If you have not heard about Lush my oh my are you in for a treat. Be prepared for all this goodness, I wish computers had smell-o-vision because Oh my goodness you'd die just die of yummyness.


This is the Portland lush it's no longer in this building anymore which I loved I remember seeing Phantom planet back in the day when it used to be the music store. But anywhoo I was showing you goodies.

Theres a party in my city part two.

First off I don't know who had more fun tonight at yo gabba gabba autumn or me and the rest of us older folks. We got there a little late but the show started literally as we were walking to our seats..phew I was afraid we would miss the beginning that's the best part. It's where DJ. lance rock opens the magical boom box to intoduce the characters. I looked back at little Miss Autumn's face her face was just lit up then quickly went to confused. The first part of the show she just stared and confused as to why all the characters were so HUGE then they are on tv. I took so many videos and pictures. Of course there was the rude lady saying there was no recording when it isn't posted on the ticket and 95% of the audience is recording to. Then when the characters came back from intermission they asked kids to come to the front of the stage so my sister and autumn rushed to the stage to dance. The very rude lady went and told people to sit down. I wanted to tell the lady off "Um excuse me mam did you not just hear them telling people to come up for this song???" I kept recording whateves there were so many people doing it I didn't care. Now for the good stuff pictures and videos...

I even got a sweet t shirt, Yes I am that cool.


And you can see my red hair more in this picture. I am hoping to book my final hair appointment for this week to achieve my glorious red hair. I AM SO EXCITED...if you couldn't tell.

We ended this day with a little party at my moms house my cousin brought her new baby boy Kian over autumn is just smitten with babies,whoever was holding him she had to be sitting next to them so she could be near him.




I've had so many cups of coffee today that I think it may be a late night tonight.. I guess I shall finish getting a head start on some cute christmas presents... I plan early I can't help it. And catch up on the biggest loser I love that show. it's so inspiring and I always end up crying.

theres a party in our city

Today Miss Autumn,myself,her mommy, and my mommy will be seeing Yo gabba gabba live. It's her favorite show in the whole wide world. She carries around her broobe doll with her everywhere she goes. It's the cutest thing.

Gabba Gabba is this fun show with DJ Lance Rock he's magician-musician. He brings a mysterious boom-box that carefully protects his special toy creatures. He breathes life into his toys with the magical words, “Yo Gabba Gabba!.” He loves to interact with his friends from above and sometimes beams in to teach everybody a DJ Lance-dance.



Brobee, the little one green, is sometime reluctant to try new things. Music makes Brobee happy and helps give him the confidence to smile, dance and wave his long arms in the air. He loves balloons.



Foofa, the pink flower bubble is a giggly, happy girl that loves flowers and all things cute and cuddly. She loves to dance and dream about unicorns. She is very sensitive to the needs of her friends and others in Gabbaland.





Plex is the yellow robot of many wonders and magical powers. He is always there to provide music to sing and dance to. He teaches lessons, and beams guests into Yo Gabba Gabba land. Like a good big brother, he usually knows how to solve problems.



Muno is a tall and friendly red cyclops. He likes watching bugs and eating noodles. He is eager to please and make friends. With all his energy he sometimes can make a clumsy mistake but does his best to make up for whatever problems he may have caused.


Toodee, the blue cat dragon, likes to have fun. She is funny, smart and athletic with a tendency to make mischief. Toodee likes ice skating, running around in circles and trying new things. She has a bold personality and loves giving high-fives to her friends.



They even went to Cochella that's how popular they have gotten. It's crazy.

This will be her first concert ever and her favorite show. I don't know who's more excited her or the rest of us.I cant wait to see her little excited face when Brobee comes on stage/ We have floor seats to so she can be close and dance and sing along.

I will post pictures of the show later. Im so so excited if you couldn't tell haha.

The one down side of my favorite season I get colds it feels like all the time. I usually catch them early enough they don't last long. Thankfully I have thursday and friday off this week. So I am bringing out all my good old remedies.




To make it the perfect night in with a cold I thought I would add a little rachel zoe project love her.





She was the one who made me fall in love with marchesa their dresses are always just stunning.

I must rest come this Sunday I have floor seats for Yo gabba gabba with my mom,sister, and my niece. I am so excited to see her little face light up. It's her favorite show in the whole world she carries her broobe doll everywhere. She has one at both my mom and her house.

Today was the day, the day of my hair appointment first we tried just a plain brownish red didn't really get the red I wanted I didn't now how much red I could pull off. I showed my hair dresser the red I "Really" wanted which was Kat von d's bright out there red.




So I said lets go for it I said I wanted a BIG CHANGE. And this was it, it's still a work in progress we ran out of color.
(I have a lot and I mean A LOT of hair ) so I have to go back for another session to get it to the right shade right now it looks a little something like this.




of course my phone won't pick up all the red.I am just dying to get it finished.I've never done anything this different to my hair.

In other news. Last night I got to meet the lovely kat von d at her book signing for the tattoo chronicles



I was excited but didn't realize how excited until my friend and I got up there. She was so stunning in person. So sweet and smelled really good... Yes that's weird to notice but my sister who could not make it ask if she smelled good. Also I guess a weird thing to want to know.
There were so many people there, also a lot of kiddos who were so stoked to meet her. I was in line for about a three hours and by the time I left the line there was still a line to the front doors of the book store. All in all it was so great to finally meet her I didn't get to meet her on my trip to LA but some day I will be there to be tattooed by her. I did manage to show her my cupcake tattoo which she said she loved a lot and how much she loved cupcakes. Of course I felt like a little kid and was grinning like a idiot, and feeling all awkward thinking what to say and what not haha.



I still can't believe yesterday actually happened.

why hello

And for the past two years I have dreaded this Month even though it used to be my absolute favorite. Come to my surprise it has been good to me. I believe one of my favorite quotes sums up how I am feeling about my life right now.

Today I got my location for my birthday party booked, and the invites sent out I am actually ahead of my schedule. My challenge I believe is going to be The dress. Now to some thifting goodies I found some cute things today, nothing to do with my party But I couldn't pass them up.

My baby nikon is still out being fixed so for now I've being using the insagram app on my iphone.







I have big plans for this little guy. I want to take out the mirror and put in a mini chalk board. So I can write little notes and put mail or what not in it.


Id love to put little name tags in them. No idea what they would say but something should be in there.





The little mug is so cute. It was just screaming at me "buy me buy me" So I did and made hot coco watched home alone to celebrate. It was such a lovely evening hope you all had a lovely one as well. I am back to making practice name place cards and watching wonder years oh good television.
