Weekend recap.
My weekend included.
Lady drink nights and Grey's anatomy with Sam.
-Some great gym work outs.
-Seeing Cabin and the woods with my friend Traci.
(There were some funny parts but to be honest it wasn't that great.)
-Oh yeah then another movie, this time The lucky one with Kara . I really enjoyed it I will probably see it again, my mom still wants to see it and my step dad refuses to see it with her. I just love Nicolas sparks books/movies I can't help it I just love them.
-BBQ's
I had a tattoo appointment last week, no new ink just noticed a few spots that needed to be touched up. So now I am in that icky peeling stage. Whiskey sour's are my new favorite drink these days. Thursday night started off at a local bar by my house with a girlfriend we decided to end the night watching Grey's anatomy at my house and WHOA that was such a good episode. So many "OMG WHAT?" moments. Do you watch Grey's and have you been keeping up? Watch out crazy driver on the loose! Yesterday was all about color. Also darn you Target and your cute dresses, I was doing so good avoiding the clothes section clearly I failed that yesterday. Autumn and her cousin Kian playing golf although it looked more like they were playing hockey later. Munchkin and her momma. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and that you to had some sun. Because a sunny day can always make everything better. xo Tabatha

Video for When we were young.
Then there is the book I am currently reading The Happiness project by Gretchen Rubin. Basically it's about well the title kind of sums it up. I just started it, I really like it a lot so far. I am generally a pretty happy person but there are a few things I know I would like to work on to make myself happier. I haven't come up with my list of things yet but Gretchen's list goes a little something like this just to get the idea.
Her twelve commandments.
1. Be Gretchen
2. Let it go
3. Act the way I want to feel
4. Do it now
5. Be Polite
6. Enjoy the process
7. Spend out
8. Identify the problem
9. Lighten up
10. Do what ought to be done
11. No calculation
12. There is only love
I am still working on my list I am also wanting to do twelve so that there is one for every month.
One of my new years resolutions was to get back to reading more I used to read a book a month sometimes two a month. I've been on a book kick lately. I just want to buy all these books sit somewhere comfy and just read. I've bought two books this month The happiness project then just for fun book Born to be brad by Brad Goreski. You know him as Rachel Zoe's to adorable style assistant who always wore bow ties and his glasses. Well he started his own show and wrote a book.I am also in the middle of that book, I have been going back and forth between the two. I finished a few weeks ago One day by David Nicholls it was also turned into a movie with Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturges. I really wanted to see it while it was in theaters but if there is a book I like to read them first, so I can form in my head what I think the characters will look like and the books just always have so much more to the story. Sometimes movies skip over parts and leave out really important details. Obviously I knew what the characters already looked like after seeing trailers for it when it first came out. The movie was good I defiantly enjoyed the book more in my opinion. Did you read the book or see the movie or even both if you did which was your favorite the movie or book? I really wanted to read the book The lucky one by Nicholas sparks before seeing the move but I don't think that is going to happen seeing as I plan on seeing it this weekend. I do love his books though, my mom got me started on them when I was in high school with Message in a bottle I remember not being able to put it down then immediately went out and rented the movie, I've been a fan of his books and movies since then. So I am defiantly excited for a new one of his movies to come out. Are you going to be seeing it ? xo Tabatha

The time I went to the prettiest place on earth.
Hello hello, It's been a while since I've blogged. Life just seems to get in the way sometimes. A few weeks ago I went hiking with some friends to the prettiest place on earth. Lake Quinault Lodge . First myself and Traci took a little detour and drove to Seattle first to pick up Lori I got in my Nolan visiting time, he's the cutest kitten you ever did see and he plays fetch yes, kids the kitten plays fetch. And it's the cutest thing you have ever seen. After that we got our breakfast and coffee and hit the long drive into the Olympic National forest.
It felt so good to finally get there. It was very remote and in the middle of nowhere pretty much. It was nice to just relax and go hiking all day. The first day we got there we just had enough time to do a hike before it got dark. So we did one of the short 2 mile loops. After that it was dinner and wine time the perfect end to the first day, although I may have had just a bit to much wine. The next morning was kind of awful mainly for the extremely long car ride trying to find the beach hike we wanted to do that day. We had no signal so we got directions the old fashion way by using a map. Still with that it took us twice as long as it should have and took us through the sketchiest town ever. Which we then learned it was a town big on meth so it was a little scary side. We kept joking how this is how every horror movie ever starts we should turn around but we kept going. The trail head looked like death. But of course we kept going once we got in and saw serious hikers and people we felt a lot better. And it was a beautiful hike. Granted the site did NOT prepare us for what the hike would look like or what to expect, we just got the "This trail is most popular in summer" which didn't mean much I most rather go hiking when it's cooler out myself. So we didn't think anything of it or that we would be hiking through muddy lakes. It was fun though quite the adventure, I took some videos and pictures to capture the hilarity and beauty of the hike.
Don't worry we weren't actually hitch hiking it was just for a funny picture.
The entrance to the creepiest trail ever.
It was definitely a great trip, we all had a blast. I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful place so close to me. I want to go on more hikes this year it always feels great to get out and really in the middle of nature. I look forward to my next hiking adventure. It's good to be back to blogging I hope you all are doing fantastic.
